Spring Summer 2013 plays with the idea of distortion and juxtaposition focusing on intricate cut work and the abstract patterns created by using the Rorschach technique.
Mini satchels, statement clutches with short chains meant to be worn tight across the chest are presented in high shine and fragmented patterns focusing on a colour palette of green, blue, violet, white and metallics.

Saturday still felt like the summer hadn't left London so I threw on a gorgeous stripy suit by Suno with a Dagmar T-shirt, accessorised with Silken Favours animal print scarf and a vintage inspired stripy snake skin Angel Jackson bag. I liked the playfulness and matchy-matchy effect of the print on both the bag and the suit. Off I went to see the shows!
2 particular collections that drew my attention were by the well-respected industry player John Rocha and the young-gun Ming-Pin Tien. Quite on the opposite sides of the scale but equally brilliant.
John-Rocha's collection was full of weightless clouds of silk organza headpieces and dresses and heavy brocade suits. I loved the contrast in materials and textures.
Ming-Pin Tien is one of the winners of the "Ones to Watch" competition established by Vauxhall Fashion Scout. Recently completing his MA degree at
LCF, he presented a very strong, contemporary collection full of elaborate pieces that were strong on detail and yet ultra wearable.
